PHRT Hazmat and Rescue Training is now offering convenient and certified online continuing training in Hazmat Operations to meet the NFPA 470 and all state-level regulations standards. This will include weekly lessons (accessible via mobile device or computer) and will adhere to the NFPA WAC standards. Training coordinators can view real time updates on training status and students will have more time for hands on training. These weekly 5-10 minute clips will keep students engaged and motivated.

Hybrid Hazmat Awareness & Operations
This Hybrid class for both Hazmat Awareness & Operations provides agencies on a limited budget, or limited access the option of conducting an in class experience with lesson plans that align with current hazmat curriculum. On top of each of these daily lectures, students will also have hands on lessons of the 2020 Emergency Response Guidebook, Safety Data Sheet exercises, container ID challenges and decon/product control scenarios. Upon completion of all of the classes and lessons, students will be prepared for IFSAC or ProBoard certification evaluation.

Container Identification Class
Simple Class with various containers to identify

This class assists members in understanding different types of containers for various types of shipping, including highway, rail, and intermodal transport. Also included are fixed facility images along with non-bulk packages and intermediate bulk packages. The user will work to identify the name of the container, nomenclature of the container, what state of matter it holds, what state of matter will be released along with specific hazards of a potential release. Injected within the class are short lessons specific to the field of containers being tested upon.
